About Jaime Carvallo

Outside of Jaime Carvallo’s hectic and successful career, exercise and fitness play a huge role in his routine. Fitness has been a large part of Jaime’s lifestyle ever since he was a child. Jaime understands that fitness is so much more than merely looking good and feeling happy with the way your body physically looks. Jaime has experienced firsthand how it also has lasting mental health benefits. Having a solid foundation in wellness can positively change how one handles high-stress areas in life.

For Jaime Carvallo, exercise affords him an outlet for self-care. Whether riding his bike, going for a run, or working out at the gym, fitness gives Jaime the mental space to organize his life and keep track of everything he needs to do. A self-professed morning person, his daily workout routine helps him plan and prepare for his day. In addition to having alone time to focus, Jaime also uses the time for mindfulness and even meditation. Self-care provides a valuable platform to clear one’s mind and collect thoughts. Jaime believes that exercising and working out truly help make him a happier and healthier person who can face the day’s challenges with a better attitude and tackle the challenges that life throws at him with a more positive outlook, especially with a high-pressure career. 

Professionally, Jaime is a talented professional in the financial services industry who serves as the Senior Advisor of Mergers and Acquisitions for Gladstone Group. Along with marketing the company’s various services, including valuations, equity incentive plans, best practices, and succession planning, Jaime markets the firm’s key services, including M&A, valuations, and recruiting.

Jaime Carvallo graduated from the Universidad de Lima with his Bachelor of Business Administration. He began his career in the world of corporate banking, working as a Credit Officer for Commercial Banking with Banco de Credito del Peru. After several successful years in the role, managing a portfolio of $250 million of loans for the largest import/export businesses in Peru, Jaime was promoted to the position of Senior Risk Analyst. 

Jaime returned to school to continue his education, enrolling at The Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with his MBA, specializing in Strategic Management with a concentration in Finance and Marketing. 

Following this degree, Jaime Carvallo moved to New York, where he stepped into the Relationship Manager role for The Citigroup Private Bank. Next, Jaime joined HSBC Bank as Vice President for the International Private Bank. He focused on developing the Andean Region market and advised wealthy Latin American clients on their wealth management needs.
